Summary

The stories were all wrong — Hook was never the villain。

For two centuries, all of the Darling women have disappeared on their 18th birthday。 Sometimes they’re gone for only a day, some a week or a month。 But they always return broken。 Now, on the afternoon of my 18th birthday, my mother is running around the house making sure all the windows are barred and the doors locked。 But it’s pointless。 Because when night falls, he comes for me 。 And this time, the Never King and the Lost Boys aren’t willing to let me go。 NOTE: The Never King is a reimagining of Peter and Wendy 。 Characters have been aged up for this darker, grittier version。 If you like your enemies to lovers romance with hot, ruthless, morally gray love interests, you’ll enjoy The Never King and the Lost Boys。 You can expect hate kissing, fighting, bickering, and ‘touch her and I’ll unalive you’ vibes。 Book one ends on a cliff。

I’m embarrassed to say this book has me down horrendous。

3。5 stars。 Was this good? Meh。 Did I love it though? Yeah kinda。 This is basically just Winnie getting railed by Pan and the Lost Boys, it definitely has a lot of potential for a great plot so I’m hoping the next one expands more on that! “I am dead inside。 And so fucking bored。 And the only thing I have to look forward to is being kidnapped by a myth。 Happy fucking birthday to me。”

This is the second time I’ve read this books。 With the fourth book just being released, I decided to just reread all of them。 I picked up on so much more foreshadowing reading it a second time。

2。5 ⭐Sam pomysł na retelling Piotrusia Pana mi się podobał, jednak cała reszta już niezbyt, ale pewnie dam szanse jeszcze drugiemu tomowi。

This book is trash, but also I picked up this book expecting nothing other than a trashy smutty story loosely based on Peter Pan。 You get what you get!

WOAH OK this book had me DEAD😭  first of all。。 I read this in a day (bar 5 chapters/39 pages), the most I’ve read in one day since like August! And actually finishing a book?? Who am I?!! Yes, the book was only 195 pages, but thats still a big accomplishment for me rn! Also, I did this as a buddy read with two beautiful girls who I love so so much! go follow Tanna and Ash rn! (update as im posting this, we are about to start reading the second book cause we cant wait any longer😭)Now onto the act WOAH OK this book had me DEAD😭  first of all。。 I read this in a day (bar 5 chapters/39 pages), the most I’ve read in one day since like August! Kas and Bash were so cute with their little secret fae language🥹 I loved them SO much。 Then we have Pan and Vane… Lord let me just say they gave me LIFE! Vane is so hot and the fact he was able to resist Winnie?? UH HELLO SELF CONTROL KING🤴 loved loved loved all the characters! Even though this is a smut book they still had so much depth and personality and I think that was really helpful for me to connect with the characters! The one negative thing I’ll say about The Never King is that the ending was a bit rushed。 I feel like we needed more with the Brownie people but it just fell flat。 Like a lot of build up to just flatline。 Thats just my opinion though! I guess in a smut book people don’t really care about that stuff, but it is something (in my opinion) that makes or breaks a book for me。 Anyway, this book SERVED and I cannot wait to read the next two! I’ll also be looking at some of the authors other books cause if they’re all as good as this then… guys I may have found a fav author! 。。。more

I blame my insomnia entirely for listening to this。The world building is none existent - we know nothing about Neverland outside of the random Victorian house they all seem to live in。 We get glimpses of a lagoon, hints of a pirate population and some faeries。 Considering the first line of the synopsis mentions Hook, the guy is never seen。 There's also no romance here。 It's strictly sex。 There's no build up of relationships, no emotional connection。 There isn't even any kissing。 The plot, what l I blame my insomnia entirely for listening to this。The world building is none existent - we know nothing about Neverland outside of the random Victorian house they all seem to live in。 We get glimpses of a lagoon, hints of a pirate population and some faeries。 Considering the first line of the synopsis mentions Hook, the guy is never seen。 There's also no romance here。 It's strictly sex。 There's no build up of relationships, no emotional connection。 There isn't even any kissing。 The plot, what little there is, makes no sense either。 It's as though the story is build around the sex scenes and there's a brief explanation about the power of shadows, but even that's not explored well。 This isn't a fantasy - it's erotica with a thinly veiled veneer of a fantasy world。 Winnie is also the most irritating, 'not like other girls' character I've ever had the misfortune of reading。 When she's not lusting after these guys。。。 Actually I think that's about the sum of her personality。 She lusts。 That's it。If anyone says 'hello Darling', 'our Darling' or 'the Darling' one more time I'm going to punch a wall。But。 Am I going to listen to the next one? Yes I am, because at 3am my brain needs something that requires very little cell power。 Nobody hates themselves as much as me right now。 。。。more

this reads as an OUAT season 3 darker and spicier fanfic。 Liked the male protagonists, Kas is my favorite。 Ended on a cliffhanger so I’ll read the next book however I’m not completely hooked *wink* *wink* to the story yet。 I just want to know how it ends but I wouldn’t mind if I didn’t。

Un libro spicy pero que tiene trama y, a mí parecer, interesante。 No esperen la locura porque no, pero zafa。

I really liked the first two and althogh the third one didn´t hook me at the begining, i loved the end。 So i had really high expectations for this final book。 I'd hoped to know more about some of the characters and also see the bonds grow; the conection between some of them seemed rather forced。 Insead, the storyline (which i really liked) continued but there wasn't any character development whatsoever。 All of this aside, the book was entertaining and the smut was okay。 It's a shame though becau I really liked the first two and althogh the third one didn´t hook me at the begining, i loved the end。 So i had really high expectations for this final book。 I'd hoped to know more about some of the characters and also see the bonds grow; the conection between some of them seemed rather forced。 Insead, the storyline (which i really liked) continued but there wasn't any character development whatsoever。 All of this aside, the book was entertaining and the smut was okay。 It's a shame though because in my opinion, it had potencial to be great。 。。。more

This was neither good nor bad。 In this world, and in yours, if you're not the monster, then you're the prey。 And we can't have that, Darling。 A short dark retelling of Peter Pan with RH; where he kidnaps a Darling every few years, whenever they turn 18, because their ancestors stole his shadow; which bring him power and makes him a ruler。 Without it he is weak。 Now, he kidnaps Willow Darling on her 18th birthday。 He taught that she was like all the previous ones; scared; upset; crybaby。 But This was neither good nor bad。 In this world, and in yours, if you're not the monster, then you're the prey。 And we can't have that, Darling。 A short dark retelling of Peter Pan with RH; where he kidnaps a Darling every few years, whenever they turn 18, because their ancestors stole his shadow; which bring him power and makes him a ruler。 Without it he is weak。 Now, he kidnaps Willow Darling on her 18th birthday。 He taught that she was like all the previous ones; scared; upset; crybaby。 But Willow isn’t。 She, on the other hand, has hots for all the guys… Willow grew up with a mentally traumatic mother(due to being kidnapped) and has been practically raised herself。 She knew about her mother’s profession: a prostitute。 From a young age, there was a woman that she idolized name Stella。 Stella is good at what she is doing。 She knew how to use her knowledge and body to manipulate greedy men。And so when Willow gets kidnapped to Netherland。 She tried those tactic。 What she didn’t expects is for them to see through it all。 -Sometimes I got second hand embarrassment from Willow。 She is definitely those FMC who think of themselves better then the other girls。 And Pan didn’t stick out to me。 The Lost Boys are definitely more present then he was。-And I am curious on how the story goes with that cliffhanger…TW: Sexual content; Toxic relationship, Torture, Panic attacks/disorders, Murder, Violence, and Mental illness/trauma 。。。more

Rating: 3。5/5I feel like this book was good, not great, not bad, just good。 Like the plot of the book sounds really good but it just kind of all happened really fast。 Also the book was a lot smaller than I thought so I think if it was just longer and everything was expanded then it would have been a better book。 I’m still super interested to see how this series go!

I’m ashamed of myself for loving this book so much, it’s filthy, but let’s pretend that didn’t happen。 LOL。 Amazing story。 I can’t wait to read the series。

Ridiculous but fun? The dialouge is almost cringe but in a fun cringe way。 Easy spicy read。

The most thrilling retelling of Peter Pan。 I enjoyed every second of it and finished it in just a sitting。 A masterpiece that I will definitely reread。

Grown up Peter Pan!I’ve seen this series recommended a few times but never fancied it because how could it be good? Peter Pan and the Lost Boys were children in the original storybook。 That was off-putting。 I expected this series to be silly and too childish。 But after yet another recommendation on social media and me in a book slump, I caved。 I had wanted to read something different and I decided to try it。 It definitely is adult version and adult Lost Boys (phew!)。 The story was similar to the Grown up Peter Pan!I’ve seen this series recommended a few times but never fancied it because how could it be good? Not judging her promiscuous past but hopefully next book the 4 mmc’s can satisfy her needs! 。。。more
